His first company he founded; FM Rocks will go down in history as the largest music video company of all time. With a record of 10 straight years in a row as the worldwide leader and annual revenues of 50MM, FM Rocks is considered the gold standard for production companies.

Zuma 4 Productions and Zuma VR his latest ventures, focuses on producing commercials and films for emerging immersive technologies, specifically AR, VR, 3D CG and Live Stereoscopic VR.

Zuma VR has teamed up with Live Planet (a pioneer in livestream Stereoscopic 360-degree video technology) to offer production services for live streaming Stereoscopic VR of major events such as Concerts, Festivals, Sporting Events, Award Shows etc.

Fanning produced the highly acclaimed documentary film entitled, Salinger.  The film was distributed worldwide by the Weinstein Company; PBS handled the TV rights, and a 700-page coffee table book on Salinger was put out by Simon and Schuster.
